Peter is a highly experienced executive, a world-class engineering authority, and a passionate proponent of leading-edge, high-growth companies where he applies his deep knowledge and extensive experience in an advisory and consulting capacity. Over a 37-year career with Rolls-Royce he made a significant contribution as Group Chief Operating Officer – Engineering and Technology, and as Director – Engineering and Technology for both the Civil Aerospace and Defense businesses.
Notably, he was responsible for providing technical leadership of civil engine research and project programs such as the Trent 1000 engine for the Boeing 787 as well as leading engineering efforts on a wide range of military engine products, including lift system propulsion design and development for the world’s largest fighter program, the Joint Strike Fighter and bringing the EJ200 engine for the Typhoon airplane through certification and operational clearance.
He is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering and a recipient of the prestigious Royal Academy of Engineering’s Silver Medal for his outstanding contribution to British engineering and commercial development in Vertical Lift Systems. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society, and a Chartered Engineer with a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Southampton University.
